Welcome to the Fifth Dimension Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (FDBJJ). We offer an intense Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), fitness, and mixed martial arts training program. Students can train to enter sports grappling tournaments, mixed martial arts contests (MMA), or just train for physical fitness and self defense purposes. Students participate in sparring and rolling according to their skill level and training objectives. Technical drilling, rolling, and flow fighting are an important part of training at FDBJJ. All students must master the technical aspects of BJJ and striking at their level prior to advancing to the next level of training.

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that focuses on grappling
and ground fighting. Students learn to defend themselves by using
leverage and proper posture; applying locks chokes, and strikes. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, although obviously similar in many respects to Judo and other traditional systems of Japanese Jiu Jitsu, differs in some fundamental ways from all other related systems. Judo was originally designed as a powerful system of self-defense that also included a sportive component and the idea of self-cultivation and the mutual benefit of members of society. Presently, although the techniques of Judo may certainly be applied in real fighting situations (and many practitioners of "sport" Judo have applied their skills very effectively in non-sportive confrontations), the emphasis in most schools is on sport competition. During the course of the last century the rules of Judo began to emphasize means of achieving victory in competition that
did not necessarily reflect the conditions of all in fighting. For example, a Judo match may be won by a throw or a pin hold without a submission. These rules and limited groundwork that forbids many of the original submission holds found in early Judo somewhat limit direct applicability to street fights. Other styles of classical Jiu Jitsu are still plagued by the original problem Kano addressed with his emphasis on randori, namely, technical training is limited to kata practice. MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (MMA)
MMA is a contact combat sport using
a wide variety of fighting techniques. FDBJJ teaches a mixture of
martial arts traditions. We specialize in striking and Brazilian
Jujitsu grappling techniques. Students practice both striking and
grappling techniques while standing and on the ground. Because
students and instructors share skills from other martial arts systems,
FDBJJ is quickly becoming the premiere training center for advanced and
beginner students. Students with previous martial arts experience are
encouraged to practice what they have learned previously while
incorporating what they learn at FDBJJ.
KICK BOXING
Kick Boxing is a contact sport
using a wide variety of striking techniques. FDBJJ teaches a
mixture of martial arts striking traditions. Students practice
both punching, kicking, knee and elbow strikes while standing and on
the ground. Because students and instructors share skills from
other martial arts systems , FDBJJ is quickly becoming the premiere
training center for advanced and beginner students. Students
with previous martial arts experience are encouraged to practice what
they have learned previously while incorporating what they learn at
FDBJJ.
INTELLIGENT FIGHTER TRAINING PROGRAMS
Intelligent Fighter Training Programs are dynamic and promote fighter education, physical ability, and technical growth. We are dedicated to helping you become a great martial artist. Every martial arts student is unique and we use technology to help transfer information to students with different learning styles, physical ability, and prior martial arts experience. Each student will be given an ID and Password to access online videos, nutrition recommendations, technical material, and quizzes.
